*In the words of the event organiser:* "On their debut album Moraliser (Static Shock and Urge Records), Australian band Negative Gears draws musical inspiration from bands like Crisis, Units, Siekiera and Adolescents. The result is a powerful musical statement that resonates with the anxiety and frustration of contemporary life, translating trauma, frustration and disillusionment into an intense dystopian sound. You can find connections with other names from the Australian underground scene such as Eddy Current and Total Control, but Negative Gears sound also has traces of dark romanticism reminiscent of early Echo & the Bunnymen, art-punk No Trend or dark post-punk from Berlin's Diät. Together with Negative Gears, we also present two local supports – Stres and Traumacorps."
